Proper care for fountain pen.?



What is the proper care for a fountain pen? How do I get the old ink in the pens head out before I can insert a new cartrige or a different coloured ink? Is the tip washable? Can i use different colour inks at the same time?

1Old ink can be washed out with lukewarm water.
Try steeping it if it's very old.
Dry with soft cloth or tissue.
Yes, the tip is washable, as most 'pen inks' are water soluble. You need to wash and dry nibs between colours-or you'll end up writing with mud. happy writing-sw
